A new line of mounting accessories specifically designed for the Starlink Performance Gen 3 antenna has been launched by Seaview.
The accessories — including a smart adapter plate (pictured above) and the wedge base — are said to provide a significantly smaller, marinised footprint for existing and new installations. This is a bonus when space it tight onboard.
“Seaview has always been at the forefront of marine mounting solutions, and our commitment to our customers means continuously evolving with the latest technology,” says Jason Romesburg, president of the company which has been busy designing and manufacturing mounting systems for marine electronics, satellite communication systems, and mobile technologies for about twenty years.
“The new Starlink Performance Gen 3 antenna offers incredible advancements, and our goal was to ensure boat owners could easily integrate or upgrade to it with minimal fuss and maximum space efficiency. These new mounts are a testament to our dedication to providing durable, streamlined, and future-ready solutions that truly enhance the onboard experience.” Back in 2023, Starlink was credited with saving a crew’s lives after a whale sank their boat in the Pacific Ocean.
Romesburg says the practical design is the key to the new mounts. While the Starlink-supplied wedge base can be a very large – impractical – footprint, Seaview’s version saves space. And it’s marinised, featuring an integrated cable seal for protection against the sea.
Then there’s the modular top plate for the Starlink Performance Gen 3 antenna. This is useful for elevation or in confined spaces. The top plate integrates with existing Seaview pedestals and can incorporate other items like LED navigation lights.
