Andrea Consolini has been appointed interim chief executive of Azimut do Brasil – the Brazilian subsidiary of Azimut Yachts – amid internal reorganisation.

In a statement made yesterday (8 October 2025) at the company’s Brazilian headquarters in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Marco Valle, CEO of Azimut-Benetti Group, confirmed the leadership changes and reaffirmed Brazil’s importance to the group’s global operations. The announcement also included details of the investment plan currently underway in the country.

“After ending its collaboration with previous chief executive, Francesco Caputo, and previous sales manager, Gustavo Hoffmann, due to a breach of trust, the company has appointed Andrea Consolini, currently chief financial officer [pictured left], as interim CEO of the Brazilian subsidiary of Azimut Yachts,” the statement reads.

“The governance is further strengthened by the appointment of Roy Capasso, a manager with extensive and consolidated international experience in the nautical sector, as commercial director.”

Caputo was appointed CEO of Azimut-Benetti in Brazil in September 2021, according to LinkedIn. Hoffmann has been at the firm since November 2013, according to his LinkedIn profile, which was updated this week to reflect his current status as ‘self-employed’.

Azimut do Brasil has a workforce of around 600 employees and a production output of more than 40 vessels last season. The group says it plans to continue developing its operations in Brazil through the implementation of the investment plan approved in November 2024.

Board member Giorgio Gallia will support the execution of the plan, which focuses on three main priorities: improving production processes, expanding industrial capacity and renewing the product range with the development of new models.

“With this reorganisation, we reaffirm Brazil’s centrality as a key market and a cornerstone of Azimut’s global strategy, demonstrating our commitment to structured investments that support long-term growth,” says Valle.

MIN has approached Azimut-Benetti Group for a statement about the nature of the breach of trust.
